DESCRIPTION: Piccolo is the first compact, broad menu clinical chemistry analyzer designed for near patient testing in any treatment setting. Care givers can now perform routine multi-chemistry and electrolyte panels with less than one minute of hands-on time. Complete panel results that are comparable in quality to larger, expensive laboratory analyzers are available in under 15 minutes, using only a few drops of whole blood, serum or plasma. Measuring 15 cm (6 in.) x 29 cm (11 in.) x 24 cm (9 in.), the Piccolo Point-of-Care Blood Analyzer weighs only 6.9 kg and can be easily transported to any location. Adaptable to line or battery power, Piccolo operates from any 12-volt source, and is equipped with an RS232 port for computer data handling.
