DESCRIPTION:

Affymetrix 428 Array Scanner is a digital confocal laser scanning epifluorescent microscope for viewing fluorescent-dye tagged samples on slides. The instrument converts laser-induced fluorescence of the dye-tagged material into a numeric value (0 to 65,535).

The Scanner is equipped with a 532nm (CY3) and a 635nm (CY5) laser. A separate image for each dye is generated in 16-Bit TIFF format. Full Field Scan Time is 50 scan lines/sec, 2.5min with 10 m m resolution. Scanning pixel size is 10 m m x 10 m m. Scannable area is 22mm x 75mm
